The Dales Way Walking Holidays
We specialise in guided and self-guided inn to inn walks on the Dales Way.
The Dales Way spans two of the great national parks from the idyllic hills and vales of the Yorkshire Dales to the majestic beauty of the Lake District. The wide ranging and breathtaking views pass through small hamlets and villages, follow meandering rivers and landscapes criss-crossed with dry stone walls. The comfortable walking passes Bolton Abbey with it's beautiful surroundings, reaches the highest point at Cam Fell before passing the quaint cobble lanes of Dent with the rugged Lake District landscape and the enticing Lake Windermere beckoning.
The Herriot Way is a self-guided option which flows over moorlands belonging to the North Yorkshire Dales. The walk meanders along rivers, passes Britain's highest waterfall, through lovely villages and offers glorious views of Swaledale. The walking is comfortable with an ascent to a great view at Great Shunner Fell on the last day.
We pride ourselves on sourcing quality country inns, hotels and guesthouses giving you the best rest and relaxation on offer before starting the walk each day. Your baggage will be transferred to the next accommodation en route allowing you time to fully enjoy the benefits of your surroundings.
Our guided route has the added benefit of an experienced, passionate walk leader with expertise and local knowledge of the trail.
The self-guided routes offer an insightful and comprehensive guide littered with historic notes and tales to embellish your walking experience. |
